Measuring our environmental performance via Ecovadis
We work continuously to improve our environmental and sustainability performance and have ourselves reviewed and assessed annually via the ecovadis assessment platform with regard to corporate social responsibility and sustainable procurement.

Efficient logistics

We reduce our CO2 emissions through efficient logistics. Our in-house vehicles are only used in local traffic for this purpose. Intelligent selection of the shipping route and optimal route planning not only ensure fast and punctual delivery, but also avoid inefficient partial loading and empty runs. |

Through our distribution warehouses in Toulouse and Frankfurt as well as some external warehouses of our manufacturers, we supply our customers close to their locations and ensure short delivery routes. |

HLC ensures a constant reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions through a regularly modernized vehicle fleet. All our vehicles are selected for new procurement in such a way that as little pollution as possible is produced. |
Environmentally conscious office management
A good handling of resources must be lived above all at the basis. We are constantly trying to find new ways to improve our CO2 balance.

The low-paper office is our set goal. On the way to this goal, we have digitalized our internal work processes to such an extent that, for example, it is no longer necessary to print out orders. Incoming faxes are converted directly into e-mails. We are currently in the process of converting to digital invoicing, so that you will only receive your invoice in paper form if you expressly request it. |

We become a climate-neutral company by purchasing emission reduction certificates from Climate Partner. In this way, we "neutralize" the CO2 emissions of our business activities from the office to the delivery of goods to the field service - which we cannot save. |

Regular employee training on the subject of "conscious behavior in everyday office life" (waste separation and avoidance, efficient heating, etc.) ensures that the concept of sustainability is always present. |
Waste management
The aim of our waste management policy is to avoid and reduce waste, to dispose of waste in a manner appropriate to the material and to return it to the material cycle.
To this end, employees are instructed at regular intervals and trained in waste avoidance and reduction.
With our annual waste balance sheet, we check and measure whether our corporate waste reduction targets have been achieved.
